Sterling Vineyards Vintner's Collection Pinot Grigio
Low stock: 1 left
Refreshing and fruity, our 2007 Pinot Grigio is popular for its pure expression of peach, melon and kiwi character. Enticing honeysuckle, mineral and spice notes accent the delicate fruit aromas and crisp flavors. This northern Italian grape variety is prized for creating wines with silkiness on the palate. Here in California?s cooler vineyard regions, Pinot Grigio develops ripe flavors and a silky texture that rival wines of its homeland. We added twenty-percent Gewürztraminer for even more spiciness. Serve chilled, this wine makes a delightful complement to appetizers, salads, grilled fish and chicken or any lighter fare that tantalizes your tastebuds. Pinot Grigio grapes can be purple-gray to a rich copper but, like most wine grapes, the juice is clear. We gently pressed the grapes and cold-fermented the juice in stainless steel tanks to capture the fresh varietal character. In the Italian tradition, we didn?t oak-age the wine, thus keeping the fruit-focused expression.
